TGS Day 2, and the Big Shock from Blizzard
As day two of the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) has passed, here’s what’s news: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS) will be released in Feb 2009. Yep, save your Christmas money. Today’s focus at TGS was on a lot of trailers. 1up and IGN have a lot of new previews available.
But screw that. Blizzcon is in swing, and guess what they announced today?
Starcraft II will be three stand-alone games. Yes, three: StarCraft II Terrans: Wings of Liberty, StarCraft II Zerg: Heart of the Swarm, and StarCraft II Protoss: Legacy of the Void (in that order).
Blizzard claims this is to introduce more depth into the stories of the series. Well, seeing what they’re doing with Northrend in WoW, I don’t doubt they’re capable - so long as Knaak doesn’t touch it. Still, it’s a bombshell for the SC fans, especially as this means they have to pay around $180 for the whole story. Let’s hope Blizz didn’t shoot themselves in the foot with this one.
